Saratoga Beach Clean-Up: Rain or Shine, We Showed Up
On Saturday, May 31st, the skies may have opened—but so did our hearts. Despite the wind and rain, Saratoga Beach homeowners showed up in true community spirit for our Annual Beach Clean-Up Day.
Armed with gloves, rakes, and determination, neighbors worked side by side to care for our beloved shoreline. We moved a large pile of wood from the Pump House to the Fire Pit, cleared out invasive scotch broom, and made space for the future relocation of the outhouse. Every task was met with teamwork and laughter, proving that a little weather couldn’t dampen our commitment.
After the hard work, we gathered—soggy but smiling—for a potluck picnic, where hotdogs, burgers, and shared stories warmed us from the inside out. Sign-up sheets circled for future involvement, and many stepped forward to stay engaged throughout the season.
A special thank you goes out to the Emergency Preparedness Committee, who helped ensure everyone was kept informed throughout the week’s unexpected well outage. Their quick action and dedication remind us how essential strong communication is in times of change.
Whether you were out in the rain or cheering us on from home, thank you for being a part of what makes Saratoga Beach more than just a place—it’s a community.
